Journal

Overview

This Journal replaces the former International Journal of Latest Trends in Finance and Economic Sciences (IJLTFES) first launched in 2011 with ISSN: 2047-0916.

The aim of the new journal, International Journal of Finance, Insurance and Risk Management (JFIRM) is to publish quantitative and qualitative studies from selected areas within these disciplines and other related areas such as Banking, Accounting, Auditing, Compliance, Sustainability, Behaviour, Management and Business Economics.

The main scope of the journal is to spread original academic, theoretical and practical insights and studies about these fields to a national and international audience, with the widest reach and spectrum as possible.

Since 2011, IJFIRM, an international forerunner in intellectual, open access publication, has aided academic communities. The goal of IJFIRM is to promote free and open communication among scientists from the fields of Finance, Insurance, and Risk Management. IJFIRM publishes rigorous scientific papers that comply with high academic standards and that make a significant contribution to any field of economics – theoretical, applied, or empirical.

Numerous academic professionals support our diverse and open access journal, and they share our goal, values, and dedication to provide our authors the best possible services. We work with academics from all over the world to guarantee that the most recent findings are openly accessible, and all information is released under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).

IJFIRM Journal Indexing

Besides the data bases where the journal is already indexed, such as RePEc, SSRN, JEL, Google Scholar, Crossref, Index Copernicus, Cite SeerX, Cabell’s, EconBib, Scirus, New Jour, Scribd, getCited, and in several Universities’ Libraries, we work to increase the visibility of our papers via the following key scholarly databases:

Scopus and Web of Science (both in progress).

In addition to the major databases, we also put a lot of effort into making sure that our journal is included in as many scope-specific databases as we can, to boost author exposure and spread their valuable material even further. Additionally, we collaborate with several universities and government agencies to make sure that our journal is included in country-specific journal rating lists, which is frequently necessary for authors to publish with a journal by funders or institutions.

Readers get free access to all content through the open-access policy.

All content on this platform, including research articles, reviews, and other articles, is freely accessible. We apply article processing charges (APC), which are often provided by the authors' institutes or research funding organizations, to deliver open-access publications. Explore our open-access policy for more details.

Statement of IJFIRM Publication Ethics

A participant in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) is IJFIRM. To assure the addition of high caliber scientific works to the field of academic publication, IJFIRM accepts the duty of enforcing a rigorous peer-review process along with strict ethical principles and standards. Sadly, instances of plagiarism, data fabrication, incorrect authorship credit, and similar offenses do occur. Such publishing ethics concerns are taken very seriously by IJFIRM, and our Editors and Editorial Board members are trained to handle such situations with a zero-tolerance approach. We use iThenticate and Turnitin to detect submissions that overlap with published and submitted manuscripts and to confirm the originality of content submitted to our journal.

Goals and Values

We have been in academic open-access publication since 2011, and we support the scientific community. Our goal is to promote interdisciplinary and multifaceted scientific exchange. For additional detail on our guiding principles, see the corresponding page.

Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity

Our goal as an open access publisher is to make recent research discoveries available to anyone. We are assisting academics from all backgrounds and across the world. We seek to create journals that are as inclusive and diverse as the research communities we serve to better understand them. We cannot establish a fair and inclusive workplace or encourage the transparency that is essential to our goal without first valuing diversity.

Since day one, the daily interchange of ideas between the East and the West has been the driving force behind IJFIRM's development. We are aware that diversity is not limited to this. In order to create equitable chances for people regardless of race, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, place of origin, physical ability, or socioeconomic status, more work needs to be done to close the gap between the global North and South. Discrimination on the basis of any one of these traits is not acceptable.

Equity is another principle followed by IJFIRM that includes concepts of fairness and justice. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines equity as “the absence of avoidable or remediable differences among groups of people, whether those groups are defined socially, economically, demographically or geographically”.

To encourage the development of equity, inclusion, diversity, and accessibility in scholarly communications, IJFIRM adopts the principles of the Coalition for Diversity & Inclusion in Scholarly Communications (C4DISC). The Coalition is dedicated to establishing and upholding a culture that honors many customs, heritages, and life experiences. Our main goals are to remove obstacles to participation, provide possibilities for equality among all parties involved, and guarantee that publication practices and policies encourage fairness and do not permit, support, or lead to prejudice.
